[Monday Success Reflections with Apeh] 5: Don’t be a spectator

Hello Friend,
Just as January had just passed, for many of us, life is actually passing us by without much happening around us. We just watch things happen around others and we feel comfortable that all we can do is to clap for them. In our world today, we have much more people who are living the life of a spectator, compared to the number of people who are making things happen.
There is nothing wrong with that anyway but the truth is you don’t have to live all your life doing that. You are here on an assignment and can actually do stuffs such that nothing stops others from clapping for you as you do for others. The life of complacency and indifference towards happens and goes around in out sphere of life is commonplace among many people.
For others, it is fear of ‘what if I fail’ or ‘what if I don’t do it will like him or her’ or ‘Am I sure I have what it takes’ that keeps them in the crowd of spectators. People with this kind of disposition will always feel or find themselves victimised and leave their lives, potentials and opportunities to chances which may never come.
To have life and enjoy it in abundance, we make find ways to be fully and actively be involved with and in life, by accessing all the privileges and power that God has gifted us with and engage our society, people and opportunities, making tangible impact and leaving behind lasting legacies and effects on them.
Being part of those that make things happen is not necessarily a heavy task to do. It is actually not something beyond your capacity. It is something within the frame of your strength and ability, skills and potential, resources and faith. All you need is one common thing – decide not to continue this year as a spectator. You have something to contribute to the life of someone around you. If you decide to identify such today, you will definitely discover an avenue to touch someone’s life positively.
Probe into your personality. Go before God and have a tete-a-tete with Him on this matter. He will reveal to you what He has called you to. Do not just sit down there. There is a call to greatness upon your life. There is a purpose hanging over your destiny. You were made to make manifest the glory of God in your inside. This should be a drive for you. Jeremiah revealed this saying of God, Before I formed you in the womb I knew [and] approved of you [as My chosen instrument], and before you were born I separated and set you apart, consecrating you; [and] I appointed you as a prophet to the nations (Jeremiah 1:5).
Don’t be a spectator, you were created for impact in your generation. You too can receive those accolades by serving in your purpose and area of calling, doing those little things that matter daily. That is my challenge to you on today’s reflection.
One way to make a difference: Love2DLovelessProject
Let me share with you how you can make a difference in a simple way through one of our project called Love2DLoveless
Love2DLoveless is a charity initiative targeted at motherless children and the less privileged youths in our society, to bring them love when they do not have any. Through this project, we raise funds and with these funds we visit these homes and share relief materials with these children and youths. You may not be able to go and see these people but you can give anything (material, financial, prayer, administrative support, etc) toward this project. This year, the project will be held on 14-15 February. In the next post, I will share more details with you.
However, if you would to partner with this project, you can email me at jabulaniapeh@yahoo.com and you will definitely get a response immediately we receive your email. I will be waiting to hear from you. Meanwhile, I will see you next Monday, not among the spectators but among those causing a change!
