[Monday Success Reflections with Apeh] 16: 3 Lessons from Easter

Hello Friend,

Last week in #MondaySuccessReflections, I started a series on Lessons from 3 Decades of my Life. However, because we are in the season and mood of Easter celebration, I will take a break from the series and return to it next week Monday while I discuss 3 Lessons from Easter with you and hope it will bless you real good.

And so here we go!

1. Hell will never celebrate over you forever.

When Jesus was on the cross, Satan threw up a party in hell with his demons. ‘Ah, finally I have gotten him and so let’s see how their plan for mankind’s deliverance will work. When Jesus was finally put in the grave, I can imagine the uproar in hell.

What he did not know was that his big party will end abruptly. Suddenly, He that was dead came back to life and snatched victory away from hell, death and grave and now lives forever. There are times in our lives when it seems the devil has gained the upper hand over our destiny, dreams and directions.

easterThose times when things do not work again and all seems dead will always come but will never last forever. But as a child of God, you need to understand that it is at those moments that God comes into the picture, just to shame the devil and make a public mockery of him. The devil does not have an upper hand in your life, so though he may be celebrating the injury inflicted on you but his celebration ends today and you are healed forever, spiritually, physically, emotionally, economically and otherwise.

2. Whatever is meant for your evil, God can turn for your good.

Again when the devil was passing Jesus through the pains and shame, there was no way he would have thought that Jesus was paying the price for the glory His name hold today and till the end of ages. While he meant evil for the Messiah, God meant it for the glory of the risen King. What Satan meant for evil, God meant for good.

Evil may surround you on every side but do not fret, God can turn it for you good. In my personal life, I have found myself at points that seem like, okay, I will be finally buried in this case and then out of the blues, God came to my rescue and put a smile on the frown. So, you may be at a point where everyone thinks there’s no way out from the situation but God will turn it all around for your good in this Easter season.

3. Jesus won, so you can win too.

The victory of Jesus over sin, death and grave is your victory. He conquered these and handed the victory over to you. Jesus did not die the death of a failure, rather, having cancelled the written code…that was against us… He took it away, nailing it to the cross. And having disarmed the powers and authorities, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross. So you do not have to live your life, facing every day with a defeat mentality.

Bob Gass wrote and said “Because of the cross we have hope. It’s through the Servant’s wondrous wounds, not His miracles, that we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). And if God can wrest such triumph from the jaws of apparent defeat…what might He do with the apparent failures and hardships of our lives? Nothing—not even the murder of His Son—can end the relationship between God and human beings”.

This is the beauty of what Easter brings to us and of course the greatest lesson we all should take away anytime we remember the death and resurrection of Jesus.

So I want to encourage this week, to go out, raise your head high and celebrate the victory handed-over to you by Jesus Christ.
